  •    This is a project for a 3,000-sq.m. bakery factory plus a residential unit. Due to the change of the food and medical industries, the factory criteria have to comply new regulations and meet the GMP standards. We find it very challenging to start from zero with the owner. Having been critical during our research in the production process, we kept our attention to the factory flow, meaning that the raw materials, the factory staff, the delivery trucks and the infrastructural systems are equally important. Eventually we propose the design strategy of the best "controls" for the factory both visually and pragmatically. The donut scheme has then become the consequent solution. It means that there are (1) the inner loop for the staff and material control, (2) the outer loop for all power/ water/ waste managements
