Look back to the 50’s, This Thai stilt wooden house was built for a single family running land business. it’s located on Suksawad main road closed by the canal, West side of Bangkok.
According to family expansion, We were asked to renovate basement area of the house to be a private residence for elder (Landlord). As basement itself earned rarely brightness, while the owner is a book lover, we have to come up with the schematic that throws in the natural light as much as we can.
The idea was to use transparent roof tile, high ceiling windows and changing the wind circulation for a more convenient living. Currently, the over all look has dramatically changed, but still we saved a nostalgic feeling to make our customer feel like those 50-year-home every time when they got back..
